Terms of use

Last updated 15 October 2026

Wisegames is free to play. These terms describe the current games and Parliament prototype.

Wisegames is operated by Nyxaios LLC, based in Texas, USA.

Who can play

Wisegames is intended for people aged 13 and over. Do not use the site if you are under 13. If you are under 18, review these terms and our privacy page with a parent or guardian. We do not verify ages or provide a parental-consent service.

Playing

The games are for personal enjoyment. There is nothing to buy and no account to make. You can share your results.

Answers and facts

Names, numbers and facts come mostly from open sources such as Wikidata, Natural Earth and Wikipedia. Mistakes happen, and some facts change. Treat the games as play, not as a reference or professional advice.

Playing fairly

These rules apply to owl names, answers, invented definitions and all other shared content:

• Treat others respectfully. Do not bully, harass, threaten, discriminate against or target another player.
• Do not share sexual content, exploitative content, or requests for sexual contact. Do not use games to solicit private contact with a child.
• Do not publish someone’s private details, impersonate them, or pressure them to reveal personal information.
• Do not post illegal content, scams or spam, disrupt games, bypass room limits or interfere with the service.

Parliament rooms

Public rooms welcome anyone; private rooms are unlisted and joined by an invitation link or code. Neither mode verifies who another player is. Public rooms may include people you do not know.

A room invitation allows others to try to join while joining is open. Share it only with people you want to play with. Your owl and game submissions are processed and shared as described on the privacy page; avoid including personal or sensitive information. Keep your private room credential private.

Use an owl nickname. Do not share your real name, address, school, phone number or other private details in names or answers. A room code can be forwarded. Share private invitations only with people you want to play with, and leave any room if you are uncomfortable. To report a concern, contact contact@wisegames.gg with the room code or page and approximate time; do not include credentials or unnecessary personal information.

The host can lock new invitations or remove another player. Removal revokes that player’s credential and locks invitations; existing players can still reconnect with their own credentials. This is not a permanent identity ban: if invitations are reopened, someone with the code may try to join again. Reports go to email, not a live moderation service.

Any player can hide other participants’ names and text on their own screen, including the host’s. This does not remove them or their content for the rest of the room. A setting for one player does not cover a new membership; hiding everyone else also covers new arrivals. Some shared text and all anonymous Bluff choices are hidden while a hide setting is active, because their author cannot safely be distinguished during play. Scores and game controls remain available.

Nyxaios LLC may close a room to respond to abuse, safety concerns or service problems. For reporting guidance or a review of an action or response, use Support and safety. Explain what happened and what you think should be reconsidered. We may lack the data to investigate an expired room and cannot promise to restore it, identify anonymous players or share another person’s private information.

Rooms are temporary. Cloudflare rooms last no more than six hours and can expire earlier or close when the last player leaves. The Cloudflare service stores room state to resume after a service restart; local test rooms disappear on restart. A room credential is not an account, and lost room access cannot be recovered through account support. Capacity and request limits may temporarily prevent room creation or actions.

Ownership

Wisegames’ original designs, code, artwork and writing are distinct from the open data and adapted artwork, which retain their own licences listed on the credits page. You keep any rights you have in your own submissions. Submit only content you have the right to share in the game.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. Games and rooms may change, pause or be retired, and uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be promised. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under applicable law.

Changes and contact

These terms will be updated when the service changes. Contact Nyxaios LLC at contact@wisegames.gg with questions.

Any jurisdiction-specific terms must be confirmed before public launch; they have not yet been set for this prototype.
