Solo scores stay in your browser. Online Parliament rooms process your owl and game actions so you can play with friends or join public games. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking scripts in the current app.
Wisegames is operated by Nyxaios LLC, based in Texas, USA. For privacy questions, contact contact@wisegames.gg. Our support page includes a copyable address and guidance for requests and reports.
Players aged 13 and over
Wisegames is intended for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, do not use the site or join a room. We do not ask for a date of birth, identity document or a public real name. An owl name is a nickname, not an identity check. Players under 18 should review these pages with a parent or guardian.
If you believe someone under 13 has sent us personal information, contact contact@wisegames.gg so we can review the concern. Please include only the room code or page and approximate time needed to locate it. Do not send a room credential, identity document or unnecessary details about a child.
What your browser keeps
Daily progress, scores, streaks, sound and clock preferences, your owl’s name and appearance, and Parliament match settings use local storage on your device. We assign a random owl on your first visit; click it to customize it. These records have no automatic expiry. Clear this site’s browser data to delete them and start again.
Online rooms also save a private room session in this tab’s session storage, letting a refresh restore your place. Leaving clears the saved credential used for automatic rejoin. The exit screen can keep it in memory while it remains open, to send or retry the leave request; returning to Parliament drops that retry access. Browsers normally clear session storage when the tab closes, but may restore it when restoring a browsing session. If storage is blocked, you can still play, but saved progress, customizations and room access may not survive a reload.
Room safety also lets you hide another participant’s name and text, or everyone else’s, on your own screen. These choices are saved in this tab for that room membership. They do not remove the content from the room server or hide it for other players.
What Parliament sends
Joining a room sends your owl’s name and appearance to the room server. Playing sends answers, votes, choices and other match actions. Other players can see your owl, public game actions and the answers or results the game reveals. Private progress is limited to the player it belongs to until the game’s sharing or reveal step. The room server processes these answers; this is not end-to-end encrypted messaging. Choose an owl name and submissions you are comfortable sharing, and avoid personal or sensitive information.
The server issues a public player identifier and a separate private credential for each room membership. The credential authenticates your room requests and is not put into invitation links or shown to other players. The room service stores a digest of the credential, not the credential itself. Anyone with a room’s code or invitation link can try to join as a new player while joining is open; the invitation does not give them your existing seat.
Hosts choose public or private rooms. Public rooms appear in the room browser with their code, selected games, player count and match format; anyone may join an open seat between matches. The directory does not display owl names, membership credentials or answers. People you do not know may join a public room and see the information shared with room participants. Private rooms are unlisted and use an invite link or code, without a password. Changing a public room to private does not revoke codes already shared or remove existing players; use the host’s lock or removal controls when needed.
Solo games and matches against practice owls run on your device and do not send answers to the room server.
In games with multiple valid answers, accepted submissions appear above your owl for the round. The latest incorrect submission is briefly visible to the room, then fades. In single-answer rounds such as Origin and Glimpse, other players see only that you have answered until the timer ends; your own feedback remains visible to you.
How long room data stays
The Cloudflare version stores temporary room state in Durable Objects: owls, settings, submissions, results, membership credential digests and the state needed to continue a round after a service restart. There is no account history. A lobby expires after five minutes without authenticated player activity; other room phases expire after two hours without that activity. Active polling counts as activity, but every room expires at most six hours after creation. The service schedules deletion when a room expires and deletes its live stored state when the last player leaves. Deletion from the live game is separate from Cloudflare’s recovery history: its SQLite storage supports restoring earlier data from the past 30 days. Technical logs have separate retention.
Public discovery uses a separate short-lived index of room codes. Its entries expire within two minutes unless refreshed by an active room. The room itself is checked before a listing is returned, so private, full, locked, inactive and in-progress rooms are not shown. Removing a listing does not delete the room or its results. Directory recovery copies follow the provider’s separate recovery policy.
Local test servers keep rooms in memory instead; restarting a local server deletes those rooms.
Leaving immediately hides room content, stops updates and clears automatic rejoin access on your device. It also asks the server to revoke your membership, with a retry available if that request fails. If the request cannot reach the service, other players may still see your seat until it is removed or the room expires. Being removed by the host revokes your membership on the server. Already shared actions and round results can remain in that room’s history until the room is deleted. Clearing browser data does not immediately delete an active room or copies another player has made.
Protecting the room service
The Cloudflare room service converts the visitor’s network address into a hashed key to limit room creation, joining and requests. Its room snapshots do not store the raw address. Counter windows last one minute, and their stored counters are scheduled for deletion after two minutes without requests. People sharing one public network address share limits. Hashing is not a guarantee of anonymity. Local test servers use the validated address directly for their temporary admission limits.
Who delivers the site
The production build uses Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects. Hosting and any temporary testing tunnel process technical information needed to deliver requests and protect the service, such as your IP address and requested page. Room-service error logs record an error category without player submissions, names or credentials. The selected Cloudflare configuration disables automatic invocation logs, redacts query strings and samples request traces. Provider technical logs and recovery copies have separate retention from active rooms; their final production settings still need confirmation before public launch. Fonts and game scripts are served from this site.
Support correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address, any sender name, the message and attachments you choose to send, delivery metadata, and follow-up correspondence. We use these to answer questions, investigate reports or technical and content problems, handle privacy requests, and record the action taken. A report may include information about another person; include only what is needed and avoid sensitive personal details.
The owner handles support for Nyxaios LLC, using Proton as the email provider. The contact mailbox’s forwarding and delivery setup is being completed before public launch. Email delivery and any forwarding providers process the message and its delivery information. Ordinary email is not a promise of end-to-end encryption. We do not automatically attach game transcripts or room credentials to reports, and there is no in-app report database.
Support mail is separate from room state: a room’s expiry or clearing browser data does not delete correspondence. Retention depends on whether a request is open, necessary follow-up or dispute handling, and any applicable preservation requirement. The mailbox deletion schedule, forwarding records and provider backup settings still need confirmation before public launch; no automatic deletion period is currently promised. Ask about deletion in the same email thread where possible.
International processing
Nyxaios LLC is based in Texas, USA. Hosting and email providers may process information outside your country. The current application does not restrict all processing to one country or region. Namecheap is our domain registrar and the service where we manage DNS records. The final provider arrangements, transfer safeguards where required, and how to obtain details of those safeguards must be confirmed before public launch. We do not promise that game or support data stays in your country.
Other sites
Some questions and photograph credits link to sources such as Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. Opening a source takes you to that site, under its own privacy policy. Fonts and Glimpse, Mosaic and Elapsed photographs are served locally from wisegames; viewing a photograph in the game does not contact its original host.
Future accounts
Accounts and cross-device score syncing are not implemented. Before adding them, we will update this page with what is collected, why it is needed, how long it stays, and how to export or delete it.
Your privacy options
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access or receive a copy of your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, or receive portable data. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights have conditions and exceptions.
Contact contact@wisegames.gg and describe the information and action you mean. A room code or email thread can help locate a record, but a code alone does not prove who you are. There are no accounts to look up by email. We may need proportionate information to verify a request, and cannot give you another player’s private data. Do not send a room credential or identity document. Some information may already have expired; browser-only saves can be cleared on your own device.
You may also complain to the data protection authority where applicable. For the EEA, find your authority in the European Data Protection Board directory; in the UK, see the Information Commissioner’s Office complaints page. You do not have to give up a legal complaint route to contact us.
Before public launch
This notice describes the current prototype. Purpose-specific legal bases, regional requirements for younger players, any required representative details, and the provider and retention arrangements identified above remain under review. An age notice or choosing to play is not a parental-consent or age-verification process. We will complete these details before a worldwide public release.
