Wisegames aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. The Next.js rebuild is undergoing verification; a complete device and assistive-technology check is still needed.
Controls and feedback
- Games use keyboard-operable forms, buttons and links, with visible focus indicators.
- Answer feedback is announced through live status messages.
- Sound is off by default, and no game requires hearing.
- Timed solo games offer standard, double or unlimited time.
- Parliament practice offers no time limit for puzzle rounds. Nest and Burn keep their fuses because racing the clock is part of those games. Visible Parliament countdowns also provide remaining time as text.
- Reduced-motion preferences limit decorative animation.
- Results describe scores and answers in text.
Known limits
Atlas’s spatial outlines and Lumen’s star pictures do not yet have full text descriptions. Elapsed depends on visual comparisons; its neutral photo labels do not yet provide an equivalent nonvisual puzzle. Mosaic’s photograph fragments have position labels and keyboard controls, but do not describe the image content needed to solve the puzzle without sight. Glimpse includes written observations, but their equivalence and all games’ screen-reader flows still need verification. Matching primarily supports English names and known aliases. Multiplayer clocks follow the host’s settings and require a shared pace.
